Flex Image Viewer: ComCenter 0.2
I'm pleased to announce the release of ComCenter 0.2. This is a Flex image viewer I had been working on while learning Flex. ComCenter 0.2 features basic keyboard control and the ability to associate properties with each image. Images are now loaded externally. ComCenter can be downloaded here. A demo of it can be found here. Needless to say, this is only a 0.2 release so there is a long way to go. At some point I'll probably post some notes on the code.
I've updated the repository on OSFlash-but I've also set up a project on RIAForge. How does RIAForge compare to OSFlash? Well, I've only been using each for a very short time(so take this for what its worth) but things I like about RIAForge is that it gives you a place to upload your project for download(in addition to subversion access). As opposed to the mailing list feature offered by OSFlash, it provides forums based on Galleon, another open source project hosted there. RIAForge also provides blogging if you don't have a blog for your project already.
Version 0.3 of ComCenter will contain an improved layout, additional properties in the image properties window, the ability to set a description or caption for each image and the ability to alter the thumbnail dimensions.
